my life in Spokane

I came to Spokane in February and since then, I was surprised a lot and experienced a lot. Therefore I had many cultural ovservations. First, almost all American university students have their owncars and use them to go to school, but Japanese universuty students don't use cars to go to school but use trains to go to school. I really envy them, but to use cars every day may be an environmental problem. Second, the surgery systems are different from Japan. In my country, if I have a surgery, I have to stay in the hospital about 1week, but it's about 1day or less to stay in the hospital! It's so scary and dangerous! My reading teacher, Jill, said that American insurance price is expensive, so the hospitals want patients to go back home as soon as possible. I think even if the insurance price is expensive, the hospitals should more take care about patients. Through these cultural observation, I learned about America and American people, so my world view will be more large and makes my life change and I hope so.
