American children eat some snacks for their lunch. In 26 Feb, we met our
pen pals. Then we ate lunch together, and I found that the American children ate some sandwiches, biscuit or crackers, and juice. And they brought their food in paper bags. I have never seen it in Japan. In Japan, the elementary school students don't eat a sandwich, biscuits or crackers and juice for lunch. They eat the school lunch or box meal, and the box meal is covered with a piece of cloth. From the view of Americans, they think a Japanese lunch is strange, but from the view of Japanese, Japanese school lunches and box meals are more healthy than American lunches. Because a Japanese school lunch has calculated the food calories and there is usually rice and some side dishes in the box meal. But, an American sack meal has less vegetables than a Japanese box meal or school lunch. I think if the box meal was cold, it wouldn't be delicious. But it is healthy.
