Memory of the East Coast Trip

I went to Boston and Washington D.C. on the East Coast Trip. It was a lot of fun! The weather was great, so I didn't have to use my umbrella. I had a very good time there. I liked both cities. There were many beautiful places in both cities.

First, I went to Boston. I saw many charming and old buildings. I was surprised that even “Seven Eleven”had gorgeous designs. My favorite place is Boston. It has a long history. Because I like learning history, I was happy to visit there. I got a lot of information on the history on the Freedom Trail in Boston. It is a red line on the sidewalk. If you follow it, we can learn a lot about its history. For example, we visited the Old North Church, the old state house, Paul Revere’s house, Quincy Market and so on. Our group guide was Susan. She gave us a lot of information which we did not know and it was easy to understand, so I wrote it down in my notebook. I enjoyed getting new information.

In Washington D.C., I saw a lot of fantastic buildings and memorials. The city was beautiful. I also saw cherry blossoms around memorials. One of my favorite places in Washington D.C. was the Lincoln Memorial. I was moved by the view in front of it. when I visited there. That was the place where Martin Luther King delivered the famous “I Have a Dream” speech. The last day, I went to visit the Embassy Row on Massachusetts Avenue. There are more than 160 embassies here! Of course, I found the Japanese Embassy. Every embassy has a flag outside the building. Some countries are sharing the building with another country. Our group guide told us that one of the buildings is Indonesia’s embassy now, but it used to be the house of the owner of the “Blue Hope Diamond.” The owner died because of the cause of this diamond.

I had a very good time in the both cities. Everything was so great. I want to go there again.
