Covington 3rd, and I enjoy my life here.
On April 19th, I danced Bon Dance wearing YUKATA at River Park Square. Bon Dance members had practiced several times, and we became good at dancing. When we got to River Park Square, most people there stared at us because we were wearing YUKATA, so probably we were noticeable. Some people there asked us to take our pictures, so we were a little confused because we weren't TV stars! However, I was happy to please American people. When the event started, the drum was played by American young people, which was super cool! After that, We danced in front of lots of people. I was a little bit nervous but I enjoyed dancing! In the audience, I found my friends I had met in MFWI on Hinamatsuri, and my host mother, so I was very happy! We were going to ask audience to join our dance after the second song, so I danced with my friends. I had a fun time to share our culture with American people.
After I came back to MFWI, my host family came to my dorm to pick up my roommate and I. I was excited to see them again. We went to Sushi.com, where I ate two kinds of sushi rolls, and one of the sushi rolls was fried! It was the first time for me to eat fried sushi, and it was good! We went to Coeur 'd Alene, Idaho after that. We walked along the path over the lake there, and we went to eat cold stone ice cream! I like ice cream very much, so I was happy to eat yummy ice cream. Before we went to my host family's house, we went to the Valley Mall, where I bought some clothes at Hollister. When we got to my hostfamily's house, Jack which is a white dog, was romping. We went to bed soon because we were sleepy. The next day, I ate very fluffy and yummy muffins my host mother baked for breakfast. My host father had a cool motorcycle, so after the breakfast, he took me back of the motorcycle, and drove for a short time. It was very fun! I want to ride again. I had only a little time to talk with my host family this time, so I'd like to see them again! Anyway, I had a great weekend!
