What I Should Do

I went to East Coast Trip and I was really shocked in Arlington National Cemetery, The Vietnam Veterans and The Korean War Memorial. I learned about how much horrible and sad the war is. First, we went to Arlington National Ceremony. There were 290,000 graves and I couldn't see the end of the line of the graves. The funeral for the soldiers killed in the war was held on every Monday to Friday and everyday, the soldiers were killed in Iraq. When I heard it, I couldn't believe it, because I live in safety and I had never imagined it. I was really shocked! I saw one picture that a little boy leans on a coffin and cries hard. I can't forget that picture and was very moved. Next, we went to The Korean War Memorial. There were 19 soldiers statues and they looked like alive. I felt scary to only imagine the situation that there are soldiers having a gun or a sword. That why there are 19 soldiers statues is that we can see 38 soldiers including the statues reflecting on the stone next to the 19 soldiers statues. 38 means latitude 38N and it is the border between North Korea and South Korea. I heard it from Yuko, our adviser. I heard that 19 year old soldiers were killed for the war. I was very shocked, because they were younger than I am now. Finally, we went to the Vietnam Veterans and there was the wall carved the names dead or lost in the Vietnam War. I was astonished how many names there were! And there were many bouquets and American flags, so I thought that people remember the war and perhaps they feel sad. I was very moved by those three memorials and Cemetery but there are many people who don't know about these sad war around me. So I should tell them how much I felt sad and fear. If many people understood how much horrible and sad the war is, the war will finish, I think. So I will tell my experience to my family and my friends first with hoping the war stop all over the world.
