My Ideal Family

Last weekend, I went to my hostfamily's house. I was a little nervous at first, but I could easily get along with the family because they were very kind and cheerful. I felt as if I was really their daughter, so I had a great time. During the homestay, I noticed one important thing. It is that they cooperate with each other to do housework.

They always prepare their meal together. My hostfather is good at cooking as well as his wife. They decided each part and they enjoyed it very much. I noticed that my hostfather always said "thank you" and "good job" to his wife. I thought that they like the time because they looked happy during the cooking time. All the meals were delicious, so they and I were happy. Moreover, he also cleans the table and kitchen. I have never heard that a husband helped his wife to do all the housework in spite of have another job, so I was surprised. At the same time, I envied his wife: my hostmother. I think that they get along very well and they feel happy because of their cooperation with each other. In addition, I think that it is important for a couple to cooperate and respect each other.

I learned most important thing during homestay. Nowadays, the number of divorce has increased, so I think that couples need to have a feeling of cooperation and respect. I want to marry a man like my hostfather in the future. I hope that the number of couples who do housework together will increase not only in america but also in japan. My hostfamily is my ideal family.
