Big Reaction!American Reactions
There were many surprising things when I came to America. I think American reactions are bigger than Japanese. For example, though I say my opinion during class, my teacher answers with only a word in Japanese school. But in American school, some teachers expand their stories. Second, American people have many expressions of their emotions. American people and Japanese people seem to have different reactions.
American people expand their stories, so I always feel interested, and I think that if I become active and positive then that is a good thing. The most important thing is my mind. My mind, which wants to talk about more things, has my speaking skill progressing. In America class, almost all students are active, and American teachers reply to an answer plus extra information. Japanese people are passive, so in Japanese class, almost all the students just listen to their teacher speaking, and their teacher just lectures instead of asking questions. But I don't think bad thing because students have to think of their power.
I have found that American reactions are bigger than Japanese reactions. When I went to homestay, my host family's reaction was big. At first, I was puzzled, but I felt that it was very fun, and I thought that I wanted to talk more. There are good things in both countries. However, I think that American reactions and American schools are better than Japanese because America has people more engaged.
