Impressive Memorials in Washington D.C

Washington D.C was the most impressive place I think. The weather was pretty good. The blue sky and vast view looked like a picture. There was a lot of green. We found cherry blossoms and tulips. I felt that spring had come, we could feel relaxed with Washington’s wonderful breezes! There were some monuments and memorials. The capitol was so cool. The white magnificent building was matching the clean blue sky. It looked very artistic but calm. I was so moved by the scenery because I had researched about it and drew a picture from seeing photographs before I went there. “Seeing is believing!” I was so happy to see that with my eyes. Some famous statues made me so excited too. The Thomas Jefferson and the Lincoln’s statues were super cool! I couldn’t say anything to see them. I tried to remember how it is. The statue’s faces were very meaningful and I tried to read the words written in the wall out loud. We practiced reading the Gettysburg Address without the paper and we did it in front of him! What a nice memory! Washington monument and the White House were of course cool too. Their white color was so beautiful. I think white symbolize the peace. I like it. At the war memorials and Kennedy’s grave were most shocking place for me. I thought about war seriously afresh. Why people had to kill each other? War is awful. It has no meaning. How sad it is. It was first time to see the war’s memorials for me, so I was very confused then. At Kennedy’s grave, I couldn’t imagine that the famous past president was lying there. I will never forget all of them. It was wonderful experience!
