My Birthday★

April 26th was my birthday. I turned 20 and I closed my teenage years. When I got up in the morning, my roommate said, “Happy birthday, Ai,” so I was happy.

At noon, my friends and I went to a pizza shop to have lunch with my RA. When we waited for the bus, we felt snug because the day was beautiful, sunny and warm. It felt good to go outside without our coats. At the pizza shop, I ordered a cheese pizza, but it was very big, so I shared it with my friends. It was delicious.

After lunch, we went shopping. We bought some food and we had our pictures developed. Pictures cost 28 cents per print. I printed about 50 pictures but I paid only 28 cents for all of them because the clerk made a mistake!! I was very lucky. My friend said, “You are lucky because it is your birthday today.” I thought so, too.

In the evening, we had an ice cream party. My RA, Jewel, prepared four kinds of ice cream and some sauces. Then, they sang a birthday song and gave me a birthday card and some presents. I was very surprised and happy. The presents were very cute and useful. They will be my treasures! We decorated our ice cream and we took pictures. It was a lot of fun. I wished this time would go on forever…

After the party, we watched the movie called ‘Toy Story.’ It was my first time to watch it, so I was excited and it was very funny!! Then we talked about our semester drawing to an end. I thought I’m fortunate because I could celebrate my birthday with my good friends at MFWI. It will be my best memory. Thank you, everyone!!
